Exemplary Intern Nayan Arora graduates to his first career position in Canberra

We are proud and delighted to advise that Nayan Arora is stepping into a new role with Canberra-based technology firm Turium AI.

Nayan joined Exemplary Energy in 2024 as a Graduate Software Analyst after initially contributing as a university intern. His early work focused on building a machine learning model in support of the thesis: A Long Short-Term Memory Model for Sub-Hourly Temporal Disaggregation of Precipitation Dat subsequently published in the learned journal Stochastic Environmental Research & Risk Assessment. He later took on responsibilities across the maintenance and expansion of our weather and climate data services, including climate data production for 225 weather stations across Australia.

In his new role as an ICT Business Analyst at Turium AI, Nayan will be helping to bridge the gap between emerging artificial intelligence technologies and practical business solutions. He hopes to draw on the technical and analytical skills honed during his time at Exemplary to make meaningful contributions in this space.

At a recent farewell lunch for Nayan, he said “I’m incredibly thankful to have started my career journey with Exemplary Energy. I deeply appreciate the mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities.”

Former Managing Director engaged by Essential Energy

We are pleased to announce that our former Managing Director David Ferrari is embarking on a new adventure. David recently joined Essential Energy as a Senior Engineer in the Future Networks team where he will support the development and orchestration of demand management and emergency solar backstop systems across regional NSW.

David first joined one of our predecessor businesses as an intern in 2003 then returned to Exemplary Energy part-time in 2021 to lead the company’s latest iteration of development for our weather and climate data services, as well as creating a new consultancy services division.

During David’s time at Exemplary Energy he built strong relationships and achieved remarkable milestones with both former and current members of our talented team. We extend our heartfelt thanks to David for his dedication, support and collaboration.

Profile: Victoria Grounds, B. Arch, Dip.U.R.P.

Prior to joining Exemplary four months ago, Victoria’s professional career focused on the integration of planning, architecture and landscape design, with an emphasis on restoring and/or improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings through renovating and extending existing housing stock as a more sustainable way of improving building comfort and usability for her clients while minimising environmental impacts.

That work includes the re-use and re-cycling of existing building components wherever possible. She now also applies her deep experience to our communications and early evaluation of potential investments.

As a sideline on the same theme, Victoria steers a long-standing company that makes and distributes an inexpensive and ‘instant’ retro-fit window insulation system, ClearComfort Intelligent Insulation.

Congratulations to Exemplary’s intern Nayan on his promotion

Exemplary Energy is delighted to announce the promotion of Nayan to the position of Graduate Software Analyst.

Nayan completed his Master of Information Technology and Systems in AI and Machine Learning at UC and has since applied his expertise to enhance our operations at Exemplary Energy.

Despite his short period, Nayan has primarily focused on developing deep learning models for precipitation disaggregation, collaborating closely with Harrison and Hong Gic. Additionally, he is responsible for analysing rental and sale prices for dwellings in and around ACT region and producing historical weather data.

Nayan will contribute on Exemplary Energy’s projects and further support the team’s success as a Graduate Software Analyst.
